Spanish filmmaker and artist Carlos Casas is now recreating the natural disaster of the volcanic eruption of Krakatoa through images, sounds, and vibrations. In his installation titled KRAKATOA, on view at the Haus der Kunst from June 28, he is presenting this volcanic eruption not only as a historical event, but also as a prism through which our current, self-inflicted ecological crisis and its destructive potential can be understood. Carlos Casas will be at the opening of the installation on Sunday, June 28, at 6 pm at the Haus der Kunst. He will also present his film in person at the film festival.
