In the age of social media, audiences are no longer passive; instead, they provide creators with feedback online. What do audience reactions mean for the creative process and storytelling? Could testing ideas early on offer an advantage when pitching to broadcasters and streaming platforms? How can a film build a connection with its audience from the very beginning, even in the context of international co-productions? Speakers: Claudia Blümhuber has been a showrunner, writer, or director for award-winning series that include FALLEN, MOST DANGEROUS GAME, and THE LUMINARIES. Her production company, Silver Reel, is responsible for such Oscar-nominated films as LOVING VINCENT and THE WIFE. MARIA CERVERA is an independent creative producer and consultant who has led content development at Cattleya Producciones (part of ITV Studios) and worked for Paramount International and Netflix International Originals. She has creatively supervised projects like the global hit ELITE, CABLE GIRLS, and the series adaptation of Simon Beckett’s THE CHEMISTRY OF DEATH. Gerhard Maier is a curator, speaker, and moderator, as well as co-founder and artistic director of the Seriencamp Festival & Conference.
