The Queer Media Society and QMS Awards e.V. present the QMS Award for the best long-form queer work (fiction/non-fiction; film, TV, or streaming; individual work, series, or serial) screened at the Munich International Film Festival. The jury, comprised of five members of diverse identity, emphasizes the intersectionality in these works. Even so, the two winning entries could not be more different in terms of queer visibility. The centerpiece of this year’s award ceremony is the screening of the winning non-fiction entry, followed by a reception for invited guests. This event is a collaboration with the Munich International Film Festival, sponsored by Warner Bros. Discovery, and supported by the Schachtsiek Family Foundation and FFF Bayern.
